Woman arrested over police hit and run

A 32-year-old woman has been arrested over a hit-and-run incident in Melbourne that left a police officer in hospital.

Police said the detective was taken to hospital after the incident in Maribyrnong on Monday, but has since been released.

The Brookfield woman was arrested in Altona Meadows on Wednesday night and has since been slapped with a string of charges including assault police officer and conduct endangering life.

It comes after police on Wednesday issued a warrant for the arrest of Jade Earl.
