Wild winds blast Victoria, causing damage

Damaging winds are set to continue lashing parts of Victoria causing widespread damage.

Winds are expected to peak at 110km/h in the state's alpine areas, including Falls Creek and Mount Buller, and at 90km/h along coastal areas around Warrnambool, Portland and Wonthaggi on Monday night.

Gusts peaked at roughly 100km/h in Melbourne during the day with the SES responding to more than 120 calls for assistance, mostly related to fallen trees.
