World War I medals were stolen when thieves ransacked a Melbourne home, stealing a safe fixed to the floor.
Police believe the offenders forced entry to the Rosanna home via a back window, ransacking the entire upstairs area and stealing the safe.
The safe contained war medals including one from The Charge of Beersheba in 1917, awarded to various members of the victim's family and holding sentimental value.
