Walkers discover body near Vic creek

A body has been discovered in bush west of Melbourne.

Residents walking beside a creek at Mount Cottrell made the grim discovery about 3pm on Thursday, police say.

It's not clear whether the body is that of a man or a woman.

The death is thought to be suspicious and homicide detectives are investigating.
