WA man charged after cops find bomb

A man is due to face court after police in Perth found a suspected bomb in his car.

Officers spotted the homemade explosive device on the back seat of a car that they pulled over in Kingsley on Friday afternoon.

Those in the car were arrested and the bomb squad was called in to remove the device, which will be forensically analysed.

A 25-year-old Woodvale man has been charged with making or possessing explosives under suspicious circumstance and will appear in the Perth Magistrates' Court on Saturday.
