Victorian woman charged over cyclist crash

An allegedly drunk driver has been charged after a hit-and-run where a Melbourne cyclist was left with critical injuries.

A 27-year-old man was taken to hospital on Friday after he collided with a car, allegedly driven by a 69-year-old Flinders woman who left the scene and recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.174 when arrested.

She faces a number of charges including dangerous driving causing serious injury and has been bailed to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
