In an interview with Buzzfeed, the Labor leader touched on controversial topics such as the Safe Schools program and joked about hook turns.

He pointed to LGBTQI issues as a key point of difference between the states.

“We didn’t ban the Gayby Baby film,” he said .

“We’ve guaranteed Safe Schools will stay in Victoria.”

Number ten on Mr Andrews’ list targeted the differences in each state’s politics.

“NSW Parliament has Fred Nile,” Mr Andrews said.

“Victorian parliament has the Sex Party. ”

Mr Andrews criticised Sydney's lockout laws, and promised to be the first state to legalise medicinal marijuana.

He then took aim at Sydney’s public transport.

“(Melbourne has) 24-hour transport. 24-hour airport. 24-hour bragging.”

He also took a swipe at yachting enthusiasts.

"The Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race completely skips Melbourne, which is fine with us because the whole thing is quite boring," the premier said.

His final shot was aimed at the former prime minister, who was especially unpopular in Victoria.
