The pair used a mobile phone to call for help on Saturday afternoon after their craft started taking on water and went under in the Thompson river in Walhalla, an ambulance spokesman said.
Air ambulance were notified on Saturday night and had to wait until first light on Sunday to rescue the men, who had mild hypothermia but are otherwise unharmed.
