Victorian opposition 'battle-ready'

Victoria's opposition is battle-ready and armed with a fresh strategy after the election, its leader says.

Coalition MPs gathered over the last week to review November's election defeat and iron out plans for the future.

Opposition leader Matthew Guy says the next few years are all about reconnecting with constituents.

"We have been put in opposition for a reason and that is to listen to people," Mr Guy told ABC radio on Tuesday.

Mr Guy said the party must be united and contemporary, with plans to reinvigorate digital media output.

"We have renewed our frontbench, we are putting in place the review of the election result...and I would expect there will be a raft of changes that will come as a result from that," he said.
