Victorian MP returns from cancer battle

Former emergency services minister Jane Garrett will return to parliament next week after recovering from breast cancer surgery, a report says.
Ms Garrett announced in November she would be taking time to undergo treatment and recover.
She plans to return to parliament when it resumes on Tuesday, News Corp reports.

Ms Garrett quit cabinet in June last year rather than back a CFA pay deal which she claimed gave the United Firefighters Union too much power.
