Victoria to overhaul labour hire industry
AAP
The Victorian government plans sweeping reforms to the labour hire industry in a push to crack down on the exploitation of workers.
The planned changes come after an inquiry found rogue companies were underpaying workers, failing to ensure proper safety standards and abusing worker visas.
Work is under way to implement almost all of the inquiry's recommendations, including developing a code of conduct to regulate labour hire operators.
