An 18-year-old pregnant woman has given birth after being involved in a crash that left five other people injured in regional Victoria last night.

It is believed a Ford sedan collided with a station wagon at the intersection of McEwen Road and Webb Road, Kyabram, about 9.20pm.

The pregnant woman, and two other women in the Ford, were all taken to hospital by road ambulance.

The teenager has since given birth, and both she and the newborn are in a stable condition.

“Mum and bubs are good… the baby’s been taken to Melbourne in a stable condition, but with some complications from the birth,” Sergeant Justin McAuley said.

Three primary-school aged children in the station wagon were all airlifted to the Royal Children’s hospital.

All are now in a stable condition.

Two adults also travelling in the station wagon were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigations into the crash are now under way.
