Vic youth detention centre to be bulldozed

The Parkville youth detention centre will reportedly be bulldozed and replaced by blocks of medium-rise apartments.

Victorian Treasurer Tim Pallas has earlier said the facility, which has been the site of a number of riots in recent months, is not fit for purpose.

The Herald Sun reported on Thursday night the state government hopes to make more than $100 million from selling the site.
