Vic woman fatally run over by her own car

A woman has died after a car with her two young children inside it rolled backwards onto her in Melbourne.

The woman, 32, died after getting out of her car to investigate after striking a water meter while reversing from her driveway in Cragieburn about 2.30pm on Monday.

The children, aged four and seven, were uninjured and the oldest child ran inside to call his dad, police say.
