Vic train operator back on track

Victoria's trouble-plagued regional rail operator V/Line will ditch replacement buses and get trains back on the tracks next month, the government says.
Regional rail commuters have endured months of delays after excessive wheel wear and problems with level crossing boom gates resulted in widespread train cancellations across the V/Line network.
Public Transport Minister Jacinta Allan said on Wednesday the 11 train services still being replaced by buses would be back on the tracks by June 26, by which time the costs for buses and maintenance is expected to be between $50 and $60 million.
