Vic tractor deaths spark safety concerns

Three men have died within eight days of each other in separate tractor accidents in regional Victoria.

Two men died on Thursday, with one run over by a tractor while harvesting grapes on a winery in the Yarra Valley.

The second man, 53, died after falling from the back of a hop-picker being pulled by a tractor earlier in the week.

And a 68-year-old farmer was killed working on maintenance equipment on his farm near Geelong on March 16.

The deaths come in the middle of wine harvesting in Victoria, prompting calls by Worksafe to prioritise worker safety.
