A teenager trod water for almost two hours after being dragged more than 200 metres off the Victoria coast by a strong rip.
The 15-year-old, a strong swimmer, got into trouble around 1pm at Cape Woolamai on Sunday but lifesavers were unable to reach him due to extremely dangerous conditions.
He was saved by a rescue boat from Hastings, two hours after he got swept away.
