Masa's killer wants no leniency: Vic court

Killer Sean Christian Price wants no leniency for his decision to murder a teenage girl because he saw her talking to a bird "like Snow White".

Price sacked his defence barrister during his pre-sentence hearing on Monday then apologised for killing Melbourne teen Masa Vukotic and raping another woman.

"I'm guilty of the crime and I wish only to apologise," Price told the Victorian Supreme Court.

"I don't wish for any leniency to be shown."

The convicted rapist had been thinking about stabbing someone for months before the March 17 murder and wanted to target a rich area to amplify his message, crown prosecutor Michele Williams QC told the court.

He was in a Doncaster park where Ms Vukotic, 17, was walking and noticed she was dressed like a "yuppie".

"She's like started talking to a bird like f***ing Snow White," Price told police.

"This one just ended up being the one.

"I just had to kill her."

Ms Vukotic pleaded with him not to hurt her, the court heard.

But Price stabbed her 49 times.

The next day, Price travelled to Seaholme planning to kill again, Ms Williams said.

He told police, "I was just going to keep doing it, stabbing".

"I thought, beautiful, another one of their f***ing princesses or good person f***ing suffers."

He was armed with a knife but dumped it in a bin at Yarraville train station, telling police the only reason he didn't stab someone was because someone gave him $50.

After seeing news reports of Ms Vukotic's death he decided to sexually assault someone, Ms Williams said.

"I thought, you know, what man? I'm going to jail forever. I need to bust a nut," Price told police.

"I'm never getting out, I'm just going to go take some chick and seize her."

He attacked a woman in her workplace, strangling her until she thought she was going to die, and raping her, the court heard.

The victim told the court she had chosen to forgive, but would never forget and that she was angry for herself and Ms Vukotic.

Price was under a supervision order when he attacked the women and was required to report weekly to Corrections.

He would present as paranoid and misogynist and often became aggressive when speaking about women, Ms Williams said.

Price, 31, has pleaded guilty to murder, rape, attempted theft and robbery.

He will represent himself for the remaining day of his hearing on Tuesday.

He said he had witnessed in small doses some of the devastation his crimes had caused.

Justice Lex Lasry ordered that copies of the Crown's submissions be delivered to Price's high security prison cell.
