Vic sergeant charged over sexual assault

A Victorian police officer has been charged with sexual assault.

Police say the senior sergeant was charged with three counts of sexual assault and one count of sexual exposure in a public place following an investigation.

The officer, from a specialist unit, has been suspended with pay and will face court at a later date.
