Vic school issues child abduction warning

A Melbourne primary school has issued a warning to students after an alleged attempted abduction last week.

Hughesdale Primary School, in Melbourne's southeast, sent a letter to parents saying a man in a car had approached a female student on June 12.

"All staff have been notified and increased levels of vigilance and preparedness have been put in place," school principal Linda Bowkett said in the letter.
