Overseas and unlicensed drivers who repeatedly commit traffic offences will be disqualified from driving in Victoria with a loophole set to be closed.

From 1 July 2015, overseas licence holders and unlicensed drivers who accumulate enough demerit points to lose their licence will be taken off Victorian roads.

VicRoads will also be able to request that any driver, including those from other states or overseas, undertake a medical review assessment if there is a concern about their fitness to drive.
