A Victorian recycling business and two of its directors told repeatedly to clean up and leave Crown land are facing 66 environmental charges.

The state environment authority, EPA Victoria, laid the charges against Bendigo business Hopley Recycling and two directors on Wednesday over alleged breaches in 2013 and 2015.

The EPA says it told the construction and demolition material recyclers several times to clean up a premises adjacent to its White Hills site.

But despite repeated requests the clean up was not completed and instead new waste was deposited, the EPA said.

It also alleges the company failed to provide documents to an EPA officer as required.

The business is owned by the Hopley Group, which also operates demolition, scaffolding and labour hire businesses.

Owner Ken Hopley declined to comment on the case as it is before the court.
