Vic PSO on off-duty assault charges

A Victorian Protective Services Officer has been charged with assault-related offences following off-duty incidents.

The transit safety division PSO was charged on Wednesday following an investigation overseen by the police professional services command, a Victoria Police spokesman said.

The male officer has been suspended with pay and is expected to appear in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on January 20.
