Vic prepared for Hazelwood change: Premier

Premier Daniel Andrews doesn't want to say how Victoria will cope if the Hazelwood coal-fired power plant is closed after a review, but insists his government is prepared to deal with any outcome.
"I don't want to be drawn into a commentary that effectively might be seen to give the green light to a business to leave our state," Mr Andrews told reporters on Tuesday when asked about a French newspaper report on the plant.
Les Echos reports that while Hazelwood's majority owner, Engie, says it has made no final decision on the plant it is reviewing, it has agreed in principle to shut the operation, which provides a quarter of Victoria's base load power.
