Vic Police staffer charged with theft

A Victoria Police employee has been charged with theft and suspended without pay.
The Melbourne-based protective services officer, 25, will face the Melbourne Magistrates Court on May 27 charged with three counts of obtaining property by deception and one of possessing proceeds of crime.
Police media were on Wednesday unable to confirm whether the man was employed with them at the time of the alleged incidents in 2014 and 2015.
