Vic police officer charged over arrest

A Melbourne senior constable has been charged with false imprisonment, intentionally causing injury and recklessly causing serious injury over an incident while on duty.
Victoria Police Professional Standards Command investigated the incident which followed an arrest on May 17.
The officer, from the North West Metro region, has been suspended with pay and will face Sunshine Magistrates Court at a later date.
