A man charged with murdering a 20-year-old woman in Melbourne has appeared in court.
Makeny Banek, 24, fronted the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Tuesday charged with murdering Abuk Akek, whose body was found at a Melton property on Sunday night.
He was remanded in custody and is due to reappear in court in July.
