Melbourne brothers run down and attacked
Two Melbourne brothers were run down down with a car before one of them had his throat cut and the other was beaten with an iron bar.
Paul Duncanson, 40, died after his throat was cut in Braybrook on Saturday night, while his older brother Shaun, 44, is in a critical condition after being hit over the head by a group of men.
Their mother Cheryl Pleydell told Seven News "my heart seems to be ripped out of my chest" as she hoped police catch the men responsible for the attacks.
"They apparently hit Shaun over the head with the iron bar and he had three gashes in the top of his head, and Paul had his throat cut," Ms Pleydell told Seven News on Sunday.
"It might have been a drug feud. They bought drugs, they didn't sell any drugs."
Ms Pleydell said her sons didn't carry any weapons with them and she believed they would not have started the fight.
Ms Pleydell said she had been told the attackers had dark skin and fled in a silver hatchback.
"I hope they rot in hell," she said.
Police are calling for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
