Vic MP faces Europe travel questions

A Victorian MP took a taxpayer-funded trip to a place the parliamentary library could only identify as "Europe?"

News Corp reports Labor backbencher Judith Graley went on a secret research project "focused around the establishment of a boutique museum/exhibition space in the Melbourne CBD".

The location was described as "Europe?" in the parliamentary library, but the government insisted Ms Graley's report was filed within the rules.

Premier Daniel Andrews said Ms Graley had answered the questions about her 2015 travel.

"I'm not here to make announcements about MPs' travel itineraries, the member for Narre Warren South has answered those questions and I'll leave it to her to continue to do so," Mr Andrews told reporters on Sunday.

Victorian MPs can use their electorate allowance to fly economy class interstate or overseas for study tours, conferences or parliamentary delegations, but must cover all other costs themselves.
