Vic McDonald's staff sacked over insult

Two staff at a Melbourne McDonald's fast food restaurant have been sacked after a customer was called a "low life" and told to "go run on a treadmill".

The comments were posted on Facebook by a worker and a manager after customer Nancy Sarfisis posted a video to complain about the service she was receiving.

"Some people just need to stop sitting at home and eating fast food. Maybe then their brains would actually work. Low life," Craigieburn McDonald's manager Sonam Dhindsa wrote.

A McDonald's spokesperson says the company expects employees to treat customers with respect at all times, even in trying situations.
