Vic man to stand trial for armed robbery

A Melbourne man will stand trial for the attempted murder of a another man who was shot after an armed robbery.
Craig Vitale, 28, of Dingley Village, is charged with multiple counts including armed robbery, attempted murder and intentionally causing serious injury over an incident in Kingsville in October 2011.
Police allege he was involved in the armed hold-up in which a shot was fired into a cash register, and that a man in his 50s was shot in a nearby stationary vehicle after the hold-up.
