Vic man killed as car collides with truck

A man has been killed in a collision with a truck in Victoria.

Police say the man, who is yet to be identified, died at the scene of the crash in Thomastown, in Melbourne's north, after his car hit a truck about 8.40am.

The truck driver was not injured and is assisting police.

The death brings Victoria's 2015 road toll to 142.
