Vic man in court over 90s $500k heist

A man allegedly involved in a half-million dollar heist at a Melbourne Myer store has appeared in court more than 20 years later.
Wladimir Wladimirovich Babaeff, 54, is accused of using a handgun in the robbery at the CBD store that netted $518,798 worth of cash and cheques in August 1993, court documents show.
The Preston man appeared in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Friday charged with 13 offences including armed robbery, unlawful imprisonment and assault.

One of the charges also accuses Babaeff of possessing morphine in April last year.
Babaeff was bailed to reappear in court next year.
