Vic man in court accused of wife's murder

A man accused of murdering his wife and dumping her body in a Melbourne park will face court.

Bassam Raad, 35, is charged with murdering his wife Zeinab Taleb in Broadmeadows on or before June 17, 2016, when a jogger found her body wrapped in a quilt.

Raad is due to face Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Wednesday for a committal hearing.

The 35-year-old has been in custody since July 2016.

Ms Taleb's body was found near bushes at the car park of a Dallas tennis club.

Her body remained unidentified for three weeks as police appealed to the public for help identifying her.
