Vic man faces court for stabbing murder
A court has refused bail for a man charged with a stabbing murder on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula.
Troy Taylor, 46, faced Melbourne Magistrates Court on Wednesday charged over a man's murder at Hastings.
The name of the victim wasn't made available by magistrate Johanna Metcalf.
Emergency services were called to a Hastings home on Monday night and a 43-year-old man subsequently died. Taylor was arrested on the night and was charged with murder on Wednesday.
Taylor's face was bruised and cut and his right wrist was in a cast.
The court was told he had recently had an operation, received medical treatment on his face and nose and was on several prescription drugs, including anti-depressants.
Ms Metcalf refused bail for Taylor. He will be remanded in custody until a committal mention on August 14.
