Vic man critical after fire mishap

A Victorian man is in a critical condition with burns to his hands, feet and airway after he used petrol to ignite a fire and was engulfed by flames.
The man, aged in his 40s, was lighting a fire using petrol as an accelerant in Shepparton on Sunday night, when it flared up and burned him, an ambulance spokesman said.
He took himself to Shepparton hospital and was later transferred by air ambulance to The Alfred Hospital in a critical condition.
