Elderly man critical after cars at Melbourne home catch fire

A man is in a critical condition after two cars at his Melbourne home caught fire.
The man, in his 70s, went to hospital with burns to his face and minor smoke inhalation but was later taken to The Alfred Hospital with suspected airway burning.
He was in the carport of his Dandenong home when a car caught fire, spreading to another car parked next to it.

Firefighters were able to stop the fire spreading to the house.
Country Fire Association investigators are looking at whether a wood heater was the source of the fire.
The man is in a critical condition.
