Charges over Victorian restaurant murder

A man has been charged with murder after allegedly stabbing a partygoer at a Melbourne restaurant.

The 29-year-old is accused of killing Deni Dimovski, 31, during a brawl at Korzo Grill House in Caroline Springs early on Saturday.

The man has since been charged with murder, affray and aggravated burglary, police say.

He will appear in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Monday.

About 30 people were partying at the Macedonian restaurant when another group arrived about 2am, sparking the fight, police earlier said.

Dimovski died at the scene while his alleged attacker fled.
