Vic man charged with Ralph the lamb theft

A man has been charged with the theft of a lamb from a Victorian animal park - but little Ralph is still missing.

Four-week-old Ralph was stolen from the Big Goose animal park on the Mornington Peninsula on August 21, between 1am and 3am.

The lamb needs to be bottle-fed to survive.

A 21-year-old Moorooduc man was arrested on Tuesday and has been charged with theft, handling stolen goods and animal cruelty.

He will appear in Frankston Magistrates Court on November 4.

A 25-year-old Cranbourne woman and a Tyabb man, 21, were also arrested and have been released pending further inquiries.

Police appealed for information on Ralph last week and were since told he had been left in a paddock on the Mornington Tyabb Road near the animal park.

However, when officers went to the paddock on Tuesday, he was not there.
