Vic man charged over suspect explosives

A man charged with possessing explosive devices is due back in court after the police bomb squad was called to a suburban Melbourne address to detonate suspicious devices.

The 44-year-old Eltham man is due in Melbourne Magistrates Court on August 6, police confirmed on Wednesday.

He faced a suburban magistrate on Tuesday on six offences including firearms trafficking and possessing explosives, a day after police detonated two devices at a property on Eucalyptus Road in Eltham.
