Vic man charged over child abuse material

A man has been accused of using live video chat to record explicit conversations with children in Melbourne.

The 23-year-old was arrested on January 24 after federal and Victorian police searched his home at Lalor in the city's north and found electronic devices allegedly containing child abuse material.

He was released on bail and is expected to face the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Friday charged with soliciting and possessing child abuse material and grooming a person under 16.
