Vic man attacks two in violent spree

A Victorian man has allegedly stabbed a woman repeatedly before going to another suburb and bashing a man with a hockey stick.

The violent spree started on Thursday morning when the man allegedly stabbed the woman several times, inflicting serious wounds, in a southeast Melbourne unit.

He then allegedly went to another flat at a nearby suburb and assaulted a man with a hockey stick after an altercation erupted.

The woman was taken to hospital in a serious condition and the man was also hospitalised with minor injuries.

Detectives are investigating both incidents; all involved are believed to be known to each other.
