Vic Libs pledge palliative care boost

Victoria's opposition says it will commit an extra $140 million to palliative care if elected next year.
The Liberals say the funding would help provide palliative care for up to another 8000 Victorians, mainly through a doubling of specialist medical staff, health spokeswoman Mary Wooldridge says.
"Thousands of Victorians are missing out on about being able to get palliative care, which would enable them to be able to make a choice to die at home if they want to," she told AAP on Sunday.
