Vic Labor board-stacking bid knocked back

Victoria's Minister for Women allegedly tried to use Labor party membership records to stack government boards with high-earning females.

The Age reports Fiona Richardson approached Premier Daniel Andrews with the plan to put Labor women earning more than $70,000 a year on boards as part of the government's initiative to raise female board representation to 50 per cent.

The plan was knocked back "in the strongest possible terms", The Age reports, and Ms Richardson declined to comment.
