A man who murdered his teenage stepson with a hammer has been ordered to pay $160,000 compensation to the boy's mother.
John Xypolitos was jailed in 2013 for 27 years after being found guilty of murdering then dismembering 17-year-old Gary Adams, who went missing in 2003.
Victorian Supreme Court Justice Terry Forrest on Friday ordered Xypolitos to pay Jo-Ann Adams $161,900.
