Vic Fiskville staff to get upskilling

Staff from Fiskville Fire Training Centre will be given financial support to help them find new jobs after the facility was closed for safety reasons.

Upskilling allowances up to $10,000 and targeted separation packages will be available to CFA employees, recognising the unique circumstances of the cancer cluster that caused Fiskville's closure.

"With this package, affected staff will have the opportunity to hone their skills or re-train to assist them in finding more work in the future," Emergency Services Minister Jane Garrett said.
