Vic firies rescue dog stuck in tree

Firefighters have used a mop to rescue a Jack Russell that became stuck in a tree at a Melbourne dog park.

The canine ran into the tree trunk at the Richmond park on Wednesday afternoon and became wedged, leading the owner to call firefighters for help.

The Metropolitan Fire Brigade says firefighters used a mop to dislodge the pooch, whose name is Rose, and she is safely back in her owner's arms.
