* Mick Roberts and Fred Becker, have died in the East Gippsland fires. Forest Fires Management worker Mat Kavanagh died in a vehicle collision on the Goulburn Valley Highway

* No people missing

* Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews has confirmed 286 properties damaged or destroyed and more than 400 other outbuildings also damaged or destroyed

WARNINGS

* Victoria's unprecedented disaster declaration for the fire areas was extended by 48 hours and is now in place until January 11

* A total fire ban is in place for the Mallee, Northern Country, North Central, North East, East Gippsland, West and South Gippsland.
