Vic fatal crash teen to fight worst charge

The teen accused of killing a Melbourne mother of two in a mini-motorbike crash will fight the most serious charge against him.

A lawyer for Caleb Jakobsson, 19, told the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Wednesday the first of 14 charges laid against the teen is the only one in dispute.

Lawyer Steve Parker wants to test the degree of Jakobsson's negligence in the charge of culpable driving causing the death of 34-year-old Andrea Lehane, who was struck on a zebra crossing at a Melbourne shopping centre carpark last September.
