A drunk driver with a cancelled licence thought he would try his luck on foot after being pulled over for running a red light, police allege.
The 37-year-old man told police he didn't speak English when he was stopped in St Albans on Friday morning.
He made a run for it while officers checked his details but was nabbed a short time later, when he allegedly blew 0.163.
